OK if I start this one off?
What’s up with this month? Apparently the publishers all got together and decided that it was time to throw out their artists and see what sort of crap they could put out:
Punisher: Oh man, not the IRA again. Another goofy Ennis villain. I’ll admit that when they changed to Max they dropped the humor and tried to go with the guts, but stopped short on what I figured they’d do. Now that the other guy’s gone, they even stopped with the guts. Apparently this new guy has to limit his head wrounds to one per issue (not that that’s bad, mind you, but it’s kind of a waste of making a big deal about putting the title into Max). Ugh. Switch artist and soon!
Captain America: Oh man. This one is going to be another wait-until-the-next-arc ones. Both art and plotwise. Why can’t the Cap get any respect?
Walking Dead: Ok, so their artist change was last issue, but I didn’t pick up until I got this month’s as well. The thing I liked best about the series was the art. The writing really falls apart without the art to keep things light. The new art is similar, but there’s a lot of extraneous black backgrounds. This one might drop off the list soon too.
