Gargoyles #1: Ah, it’s been years since I’ve seen this series, but I loved it to death. Looks pretty good, so far.
52 Week 14: A bit light on actual content here. Except for the bits with Dr. Magnus. They were pure gold… er… Mercury.
Superman #655: Very cute bit with the cover from the last Action here. I’m also loving thee stuff with Arion. I’m a bit concerned that we’re going too far into Soap territory with the many loves of Clark Kent, but overall another awesome outing from Busiek.
Martian Manhunter #1: First, a warning: This will make absolutely no sense unless you read Brave New World. It wasn’t just a teaser, like it was for the Atom, but a key plot point.
Besides that, it’s just pretty blah. I mean, you’d think that stuff like this would either be thrilling or piss me off, but it does absolutely nothing for me. We’re given so much stuff taking the character to new places, but no contest or reaction to absorb it with. It’s just a boring chase scene. J’onn does something here that would make me mad, if I wasn’t absolutely sure that it (like the ugly new costume) will be ignored the next time J’onn surfaces elsewhere.
Secret Six #3: Kicking into high gear here. Fun, bloody stuff.
