Teeny tiny week for me.
Secret Invasion we discussed elsewhere but the big DUH moment was Norman’s defeat of the Skrull Queen. To paraphrase Alan Moore-“You can’t kill a shape-shifter by shooting it in the head”. If I was a shape shifter, I’d tuck my brains down in my rib cage with a couplea inches of bone around them.
And Batman…th’ fuck?!
So…the last two years of Batman stories under Morrison have all been a DREAM (or the guy running around in the Bat-Books is an imposter?). I didn’t see a single line about how Symmian and Makkari (who, inexplicably aren’t 2" tall) saved Bruce from the helicopter.
C’mon DC. I’ll grant you Morrison is a great ideas guy–but make him plot out and explain the ending of any story arc he’s gonna do…BEFORE you let him write the first word. This makes no sense at all.
Justice Society #21. Sigh. I love Geoff Jones’s work normally but this is transparently lame (I’m prepared to retract if Jones pulls a rabbit from his hat next issue). It would have been so much better if Gog hadn’t had the “Destroy the Earth” side-effect…and would have been much more morally complex. As it is, there’s no moral issue whatsoever.
