Heh, this happened to me sometimes too. Only happens with the first couple levels cause they’re all just one letter answers.
You put in the wrong letter, is all. Five should have a dark grey color with a addition problem on it.
OK, now I’m stuck on 8. Man, I suck at these things.
Well shit, why doesn’t everybody just provide the answers to things before I ask them?
Hahaha, well, you can continue from there if you want but you might find level 9 really hard (read: impossible) unless you visit them all in order.

Level 8 was so hard for me until I actually read the thing outloud. Then I couldn’t believe how easy it was.
For the record, level 9 was the hardest one for me so far (other than the one I’m stuck on now, level 14). You might want to go back and do the ones you skipped over (as much as you don’t want to) and keep track of the answers. (I learned, early in this game, it’s a good thing to write down every answer you get)
Interesting. Is there a level 7? My answer to 6 (which seems obvious) takes me to 8.

There was no looking up. I can’t get 9 right away, though.

Hahah, well, remembering what the level 6 answer is and what answer you need to get to level 8, I think you may need to recheck the middle a little. 
Do not skip puzzles.
Ah my roommate and I are giving up for the night - level 12. I’m too tired for this! And I feel like a moron once I finally figure out the answer…and only with hints from the message board! I keep trying to look too deeply into these - no finding the answers that way.
Oh yeah. Not only for those first few ones but my friend (who has reached level 33) told me there’s other puzzles coming up that will require you to remember past puzzle answers.
Yeah, I’ve been using the forums off and on too. They’re helpful, but I figured making a topic here where we all could talk a bit more freely for those who need some help and hints for levels people have already done would be better.
I finally got 9 all the one letter answers spell a word
Currently stuck on 10. None of these ever come easy to me. I always over think everything.
If 10 plays a song, I don’t recognize it.

sometimes the page title, at the very top of the window, is a clue - sometimes it throws you off

Here’s a little hint if you need it
You always want to look up at the title of the page. In this case it’s a bunch of fraction type numbers. Think of the numbers and letters on a phone. In fact, you’ll want to actually get one since the photo it has can’t be seen for shit
And a larger one if you need it
The first number is the number on the phone you want and the second number is…? Yeahhhhh
And me, I just finally figured out 14 after about an hour on it. After that, 15 was sorta easy but I can see level 16 will require much more open minded thought, so I’m seriously off to bed now.
Like people have already said…a lot of these are pretty easy, it’s just we’re overthinking on them a bit.

I’m on number 13. I’m not sure what I need to look up. Google is not helpful as to the meaning of *?$. A programming term, I’m sure, but I can’t find out what it is!
