That was fantastic. I was so into the Doors in the late 70’s – bought a book of Morrison’s poetry and everything.
What’s really hysterical about that is… my ringtone is Weird Al’s “Virus Alert”.
And yeah, it kind of annoys me but I paid for the damn thing, dammit!
I sense a new ringtone purchase coming up

Apparently getting laser eye surgery and shaving the 'stache adds 25 years?

What song is “Ringtone” using? Is that his usual ripoff of a tune, or are he and the band that able to imitate Queen?
I think all of his latest songs are originals. Some are clearly “style parodies”, of course.
And yes, he and his band are that able to imitate anybody.
In that Craigslist video, he looks like Pippin!!
All the better for him. He and the band get to keep the songwriter’s royalties.
Yup. Of course, on his actual song parodies he keeps the royalties for the lyric portion, since those are all his (or, in the case of his polka medleys, the lyrics are unchanged but the music is all his). But half of the songs on every album he’s made have been completely original.
I love Weird Al. That was brilliant.
I keep getting older, but if anything, I appreciate Weird Al even more than I did when I was 14. Work a holiday season or two in retail and Christmas At Ground Zero starts to sound appealing.
