Weird experience with Serevent - anyone else have this happen?

*Standard disclaimer applies - I’m not seeking any medical advice here, and I’m certainly not giving any. No-one should experiment with or change their medication unless on the advice of their doctor. *

I have moderately-severe asthma, which is well-controlled by a beclometasone inhaler and also a Serevent inhaler. Just recently (couple of weeks or so), I’ve realised that my asthma is even better than usual. I checked my inhalers (maybe I was getting a super-dose of something, I thought), and realised that my Serevent had actually run out. Normally, I’d get a replacement ASAP, but having read some of the bad press about Servent recently, I thought I’d give it a try without.

Well, a week in and I’m breathing as well as ever, if not better. And still no Servent. My airways if anything seem less reactive and more calm.

Anyone else with asthma had this happen? Stopped taking Servent and experienced an improvement in their symptoms?
