Just wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen. Over the last hour or so on the left hand side of my face I have had some unusual and really painful muscle spasms. The end result though has been one of the muscles on my left cheek staying contracted??? Now I look like I have the mumps - on one side. It is not very comfortable either. I cant get into a doctor until next friday:( and most likely this will have resolved by then but I would like some idea of what might be going on. However my google fu is crap and I have no real idea what I should be searching for anyway.

Don’t wait a week. Go to ER or Doc-in-a-Box. Not sure where you live, but there should be some medical care available before a week from now. The fact that pain is involved is kind of a tip-off. Pain often means something, dontcha know.
Bell’s Palsy comes to mind, too, and if it’s that, fine. But if it’s not, one thing you never want to hear is, “If you had come in sooner, we might have been able to do something…”
Sorry to be late coming back - turns out that if you are taking certain medications you should never ever eat grapefruit. :smack::smack::smack: nice to know what the cause was but still :smack::smack::smack:
