Weird Firefox Problem

I developed a problem with Firefox last night: whenever I would type in an addres in the address bar and hit “Enter,” nothing would happen. I could click on embedded links and go to other websites just fine, but I couldn’t browse via the address bar at all.

I uninstalled Firefox, and have been attempting to re-install it. I’ve downloaded it multiple times, but each time the download completes the file just completely disappears and I can’t run the installation.

Anyone know wtf is going on?

FTR, I tried to DL Opera as well, and the same thing happened- the file just disappeared.

where the downloaded file goes depends on what operating system and version you are using and how you attempted to get the file. knowing that will help give you useful advice.

I saved both download files to my desktop.

Try right clicking and ‘run as administrator’.

If that doesn’t work, what versions of Firefox and Windows are you running. Does IE work OK?

I should have asked if you have searched in My Computer or Windows Explorer? What folder do your downloads go in?
