Much to their chagrine, many pre-teen males sound like females. He left a muffled message on my phone to begin with and I heard the name Andrea, when it was really Antonio or something like that. I never talked to him long enough any other time to figure out it was a boy. Which probably explains why he got ruder every time I called him Andrea.
