This took some doing to find all the posts.

Would a “”“Vanilla Town”"" get a pm for an night occurance, or what ever verbiage is flavor of the month, if they were vanilla town? Wouldn’t they have to do something in order to get this pm?

Didn’t we have a similar situation in a previous game?

Yes.

I was fairly sure we did. My games are running together now. Is this a problem for Allwalker?

I’ll take this one one step further.

Let’s look at the clamied power roles shall we.

Investigator
One shot vig
Doctor
Watcher
Inventor aka Vig + Doctor + Watcher + Lynch Stopper + vote Buyer
Roleblocker
Roleblocker

There are two ways I can think of the above at this point in time, but there are undoubtably more.

  1. The scum and town power roles are fairly parallel, which means that for every town power role, the scum have something similar

so, BS P.I., cucay, MHaye, Oredigger are town and NAF1138 is scum.

  1. The scum and town power roles are near backups, so every power is duplicated to some degree amongst the sides. It would also make sense as to why the scum have two roleblockers given the type of roles on the town side

so BS P.I., cucay, MHaye, NAF1138 are town and Oredigger is scum.

Either way, after tonight, our best bet is probably to ensure that NAF1138 and Oredigger are next on the list.

Also further to this, I would guess that a third party if one existed, and I’m beginning to think it doesn’t, will be in the vanilla pool. But that’s for the scum to worry about, not the town.

Oh, and we probably have a godfather role in the vanilla pool as well.

As for Tonight’s fun and games, we are likely to have the following:

Four Vanilla: Meeko, AllWalker, CatInASuit, JoeyP

Four power roles:
MHaye: Watcher
OreDigger77: Roleblocker
Boozahol Squid P.I.: One-Shot Vig
cucay: Investigator

NAF1138: Out of Juice

The problem, knowing I am vanilla, is to resist the urge to say sort out the other three, because they are going to say exactly the same thing.

NAF, I sure hope you know what you are doing.

I’m taking a risk and throwing in with your plan.

vote pedescribe

Since the plan is now underway, Vote Pedescribe.

The next stage is to sort out which power role are going to sort out which of the three Vanilla who have not already been investigated are subject to the semi-useful Town power roles. JoeyP is excluded from this process, because the plan was founded on the assumption that Cucuy’s investigation might be trustworthy. Since we really don’t want duplication, and certainly not all three claimed powers going after the same subject, we’ll need to pick them. This (unfortunately) may allow a defensive strategy to be developed by the CTs - but those things don’t always come off. Just ask Rysto.

The CTs will probably kill someone Overnight. It will be informative to see who they go for.

Then Tomorrow, after the dust has settled and we have our reports (plus know what Zeriel and Pedescribe actually were) we can see who needs to be killed.

As a relatively uninvolved player I don’t mind setting up a roster of who does what. Give me a short while.

So, to randomization.

I used the list randomizer function of random.org, starting with an alphabetically ordered list of the players in each group.

Power roles.

There were 3 items in your list. Here they are in random order:[ol][li]Cucuy[/li][li]Oredigger77[/li][li]Boozahol Squid P.I.[/ol]Timestamp: 2009-09-04 10:30:50 UTC[/li][/quote]
Vanillas.

I’ve reformatted the lists with BB code to ensure they are presentable.

Now all we do is match the lists together thus.Cucuy tries to investigate CatInaSuit.
Oredigger77 roleblocks Meeko.
Boozahol Squid P.I. attempts to kill AllWalker.

The only other thing that occured to me, we are supposed to be a kind and pure town of common goodness where evil is not tolerated.

So how come we have a slut sleeping around with everyone?

I’ve been trying to look for a new angle to approach from, but I figure the plan is good.

Vote pede

Why? The fact that I am VT shouldn’t mean I never eceive relevant PMs.

I don’t like this plan

How was it randomised, though? These things work better with a publically verifyable seed chosen before the outcome is known. Otherwise, how can we know this “random” list is actually random?

Well, I’d say that we can roughly trust MHaye to be unbiased, given that he’s one of our ‘confirmed’ power roles. Now, you know I’d be much more in favor of a random pairing that let me kill Cat instead of you (The grudge is a joke, MHaye, I kid!), but we don’t always get what we want.

I think this is a valid question but my guess is that it comes down to money. the girl charging on the corner is always looked down on more then the girl giving it away for free behind the school.

I think we’re out of time to come up with a better plan and it would have been better to use last night’s football scores but as it is we’re out of verifiable random events and I’m ok with sleeping with Meeko.

AllWalker.

I knew you would say that. Someone had to wind up being Boozy’s subject, and they’d automatically be unhappy. It turned out to be you. Sorry. :frowning:

I used random.org because it generates its results from atmospheric noise (or so they claim.) It was the second quickest way available to me.

Still, you’re not certainly dead, are you? Boozy might shoot himself in the foot.

If you wonder what I’m going to do, the answer is “I don’t know.” I think I’ll leave my power as a wildcard to stop the CT from formulating their defensive strategy with the knowledge of my plan.

This all seems very “iffy” to me. There are so many factors that need to occur to make this plan work.

So, hypothetically speaking, should I turn up dead toMorrow, would that indicate CIAS is scum? I don’t see the logic in that. But OTOH, I could survive and get a false reading. I guess I just have to follow along and hope something useful turns up from this.

Our posse has a Three Stooges appearance. Or maybe the Apple Dumpling Gang. I can picture scum sitting back and LTAO.

At this point we really only have two options either we start looking at the power roles and try to find scum in there or we look at the vanillas. I have no doubt we’ll find scum in both places but we need to choose one.

The way we’re set up we’ll be able to take care of the vanilla pool, hopefully, in one shot, by either your investigation, Boozy killing scum, or if nothing happens we have a good idea it was because of my block. By doing all of this in a single Night we can then try to figure out which of us power roles is scum and hopefully MHaye will be useful there.

**With Zeriel already dead, and his true allegiance unknown, the town was wary as ever.

Quietly at first, a small group began to point fingers at pedescribe. Many followed, some giving reasons….others just glad it was not them being targeted. Soon, enough votes were gathered against pedescribe and they began to move towards him.

Suddenly, however, there was a poof of smoke and dust, and a ghost appeared before them. It was quite clearly Zeriel, and he had a very serious look on his face. He was mouthing the words before they came out, and when they did come out, his words sounded like an echo.

He cried out, “Town!!! I don’t have much time! Listen to me! Town, listen to me carefully. This is important! Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not blindly trust the unconfirmed! Listen to me!”

And he disappeared.

Zeriel, who was an ordinary townsperson, is 100% dead.

The town was shocked. What did it mean? Was Zeriel’s death necessary?

As they paused, pedescribe began to move away quietly, trying to slip away.

“Not so fast, pedescribe!!” cried one townsperson.

And they moved in on him, cutting his throat and watching his blood mix with the dirt.

[COLOR=“DarkRed”]Pedescribe is 100% dead.

But who was pedescribe really?

It is now Night. Day will begin on Monday, September 7 at Noon.

Topic for discussion: What’s the most interesting/crazy/weird turn of events or incident you have seen in another mafia game? Be very careful not to discuss this one, though.

I’ll start. In the Werewolf Split game, was it Jimmy Chitwood who flat out stated he was a werewolf, only to die and be discovered vanilla town? That was memorable.
**[/COLOR]

In Farmer/Rancher, Stranger on a Train (if I remember correctly) false-claimed Werewolf on Day 2 as a poorly thought out attempt to surprise the real Wolves into revealing themselves. I never went back and checked if his estimates of who was a Wolf was correct, as I got Eaten the first Night.

This was not a game played around here, and before my time to boot, but once, a rather unliked player became so annoyed at his fellow werewolves for joining the bandwagon against him that he outed them all. That’s not the weird thing.

The weird thing is that no one believed him, and the wolves won.

That was Seeker of Truth and Beauty.

I actually was a werewolf.

I take back everything I have said about Seeker then, I am not like him(?) at all.
