My reason for voting you yesterDay was because I find it odd how all your powers seem to be duplicates of other town powers. Since then someone (you?) mentioned that it sort of balances out that fact that everyone elses powers seem to have a fail rate. That makes sense I guess. The new info I found, well, one of the things I forgot, I’ll have to try and remember what it was and see if it still applies, the other thing was when you got called out about how many times you could use one of your powers. Though, I’m willing to chalk that up to just being a mistake.

We all know what an OMGUS vote is and I’m not going to write out the definition here. BUT, you have just totally clarified something for me. Yes, your vote was basically an OMGUS vote in that CIAS voted for you and for that specific reason you voted for him. (Maybe that’s what the other piece of new info was?) But you just clarified that a bit with the metagamey thing. I’ve never played with CIAS, so if he normally writes really good, well thought out, water tight cases against other people and you feel that this case isn’t, then I understand. That was the piece of info I was missing.
It does still bug me a bit that you used this opportunity to double your vote against him. Like I said earlier, we have, what 7 players left, so if you are town, the extra vote probably won’t guarantee CIAS’s lynch if a better candidate comes a long, OTOH, if you are scum, and the other scum are also planning to vote CIAS, the extra vote will help. (I’ve only been in one game where someone had the ability to buy a vote, so I really don’t know all the ins and outs of it yet).

So you mis-wrote something and blamed it on not doing a good job reading your PM so that’s excusable, but earlier, everyone jumped on Ped for making the vote comment and not realizing that if someone moved their vote to break a tie it would create a new tie?

NAF, I’m still not sure about you, I went back and looked at CIAS’s case against you and while it’s not a terribly strong case, it doesn’t seem like anything in it is arguable or wrong, more of a gut feeling kind of thing on CIAS’s part.

Well, that’s sort of my point, and it’s metagamey so you probably can’t know this first hand, but it’s the gut feeling thing that bugs me. It’s so unlike CIAS’s playstyle it’s silly. He isn’t a gut reaction player. Maybe he is this time, it’s why metagaming is dangerous, but it isn’t my only point against him. There is also the process of elimination aspect making him the most likely of the vanilla’s to be scum, and the improbability that there would be more than 1 scum in the claimed power roles.

Looking back I take back what I said about Boozy being high on my list. That wasn’t me being rational about my accusation and had more OMGUS in it than I care to admit. There are more points in favor of Boozy being truthful than not.

The big point in Cat’s favor, and the one that makes me worry that I will look stupid in the Morning is his case against Pede. But that could have been early bussing of a fellow scum to gain just that sort of town cred. Internally I have been second guessing myself ever since I bought his vote (actually it was hypnosis, but that isn’t important) but I feel like the objective “good” play is to stick to my guns on this one. Like I said to Meeko earlier in the game, it’s a game of calculated risks and I made my peace with looking like a fool a while back.

NAF, I hate to say this, but I gotta go with my gut feeling here as well. I’m not comfortable with your double vote on CIAS, and I’m not comfortable with your claimed powers. I’ve been hemming and hawing (is that how you spell that), but I gotta get to bed and I’m not sure if I’ll be back on before the Day ends.

NAF1138, if you are town, your play today has been of the lowest calibre I have seen from you in a long while.

Your buying of my vote has effectively railroaded the town into lynching me today, and you did it on a metagame hunch. :eek:

You shut down most of the conversation because of this and haven’t really given anyone else a choice with your actions. I hope for the town’s sake we have not snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Ok, town play after I am lynched, because quite frankly you need the help.

If there is one scum left, actual chances are it is JoeyP.

Not only from pedescribe’s comment but also from his vote at End of Day 2. If he was self protecting he should have voted MentalGuy who was easily the vote leader at the time to push him further away from being lynched. Instead he voted for Oredigger with pedescribe to push him to the top of the list.

This is also a point in favour of Oredigger being town and not scum. With that in mind, if Oredigger is not scum, then it is very unlikely that Meeko is scum either.

If there are two scum left, we have real problem, because there are a few different combos there could be.

JoeyP + NAF1138 - The most likely combo going, mainly because of the way this game has played out.

cucay + A.N.Other. - Now this is pretty unlikely as he bussed a Miller on Day 4, which also co-incided with scum stopping talking about a third party role. However, it does give a lot of townie cred as well. Other points in favour include pedescribes comments on him and MentalGuy breakdown of the players.

Oredigger + Meeko. Now this is also a possible combination as well, but would have involved pedescribe bussing one scum roleblocker for another, if indeed Oredigger is a roleblocker. Yup we only have his word for it and he hasn’t blocked anyone confirmable from using their powers. However, this still ranks under really unlikely.

JoeyP + Meeko - Also possible is the other two claimed VT’s are also scum, which should make life easier if if you lynch one and roleblock the other.

Your best bet tonight is for Oredigger to block JoeyP and cucay to confirm Oredigger. I still think we have a godfather around and so confirming power roles to increase town size is the best way to do it. However, they are just suggestions, feel free to do something different.

I’m not going to do the scum planning, because of tonight’s hard choice as to decide who to NK. Here’s hoping for a screw up.

Finally, check out MentalGuy’s comments on all the players and do some work. It’s the biggest bonus the town has had. You have all of my work as well. Use it

I’ve been saying for a bit that I think NAF is third party. At the end of the Day I would rather have my vote on someone non-town then on an information lynch of town power roles. I still CIAS is the most likely to be scum, in the vanilla pool, although he has done a good job of defending himself. I am not willing to vote for him because of the weak case and the good defense but I’m ok with the lynch in general because I don’t think we’re at LYLO.

All of the justifications out of the way I think I’m going to switch my vote over to NAF, it won’t make a difference, unless if cucuy jumps, I think we will still net ourselves a non-townie.

NETA: Damn, I’m glad I previewed. I don’t want to create a tie which my voting for NAF would do. So unless Meeko shows up and votes for NAF I’m going to keep my vote here.

So I’ve been trying to work this out in my head all week long. In the end, I guess I’m not sure about NAF. I don’t think he could be scum: putting that much power in the hands of a scum player doesn’t jive with the powers that the town seems to have. It does seem awfully overpowered for any sort of non-third party role, anyways.
Oredigger seems pretty damn confirmed in my mind. As does cucuy, who, although I don’t love his play, just doesn’t make sense as a second scum investigator (although it should be noted that he hasn’t gotten a result since the death of the real scum investigator, which could mean that he was being fed info)
Cat just hasn’t been playing very scummily. I hope he is, because there isn’t any other option today. I also hope this isn’t posted after Dusk.
