It’s said five times over the course of the three movies: I don’t think C3PO says it until the third movie. I want to say Han says it twice (in New Hope and RoJ), Luke says it in NH, and Leia says it in ESB.
That’s a shame. You could become a very good player if you focussed your attention on the game itself, rather than on personal quarrels within the game. Your posting would be more substansive, and I think you’d find that people welcomed your posts (whatever their amount) a bit more if that were the case. Take some time, settle down in the new job, and give it another go.
When you do come back (in addition to brining pie), try to divest yourself of the mindset that overpowered roles determine who’s a contributing player. Certainly, they can be crutches, but a vanilla townsperson can be just as important as a Cop or a Man-Of-A-Thousand-Tricks like NAF here. It is worth remembering, of course, that in the end-game, VTs will get lynched if they haven’t been confirmed, but they can make a very positive contribution in the hunt for scum.
The best players of this game will all tell you that they’d rather have a sharp player on their side in this rather than an extra power role.
JoeyP was blocked the previous Night. If he was the last remaining scum he should not have been able to get off a Night kill.
Just to make sure Maha isn’t Idle (who believes that roleblockers can’t effect scum Night kills)
HEY MOD, WOULD A ROLEBLOCKER HAVE THE ABILITY TO STOP A SCUM NIGHT KILL?
If the answer to the above is yes, then we have a bit of a pickle and I will be tempted to vote for myself as scum in disguise even from myself. Cucuy got an investigation of Boozy that actually picked out his power role, and Boozy then used that power. It should be totally cut and dry that he is who Cucuy says he was. That said, I know I am not scum, and if Digger was able to block Joey’s Night Kill…
And I know I’m not scum, I’ve also been investigated and to do you one better, I’ve been blocked when there was a NK.
Did Cucuy have a fail rate? Vote NAF
He did. But when he failed, he got no result. He failed on his last investigation, which I believe (correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not going to bother going back to check on it) was on NAF
Conditionally. It makes way more sense that he is scum and that Digger either had a faliure rate or that he couldn’t block Night Kills then it does that Boozy is scum or that I was lied to about my alignment.
Boozy. Honestly. Look at my play. How does any of it make sense as me being scum?
Hell, look at my proven powers. Forget about the lynch block, just go with the ones you KNOW I have. How does that make sense as me being scum? Additionally, if I was scum and I could block the lynch toDay, there would be no reason to hide that I was scum anymore. Blocking the lynch toDay is a win for scum. All I would need to do was stop toDay’s lynch and the game would be over.
It would have required you to fake up that claim a long time ago. In preparation for a situation like this. That’s the sort of thing that begs for an investigator look-see. Which makes sense for a Batman-level Godfather like RoOsh and I had in our game.
Now I’ve gotta figure if Mahaloth is as much of a prick as RoOsh and I were.
You want us to look at your proven powers and you want us to ignore the lynch stopping power, then you build your case on having the lynch stopping power. Actually, you’re building your case on having it and not using it. I agree, if you use it today, scum wins, that makes sense. But we have no proof that you have it.
