I just want to say that I’ve missed you. Welcome back, hope you stick around.
I even started a thread about you a little while ago inquiring your whereabouts.
His whereabouts is at my thread named by me for me and about me. Not that this is all about me. It’s about time. Time and tide wait for no man, and no man is an island.

Fearsome Foursome (at least one of them) strikes again!
/hijack/
Ha! Validation! I’m a Real Person, someone started a thread about me! Hooray!
You can thank Juno’s Goon Squad (Charles Ardai, presiding Thug) for finally offering Web Access at the one-time-only low, low price of $4.95 a month. I had Juno Free Internet before, but I had to leave in September when they took away my local Web access number (no way am I gonna pay long-distance charges for 6 hours of SDMB every day). So we just had e-mail. It was like in those stories where the electricity goes out and the family gets reacquainted, they pull out the Parcheesi board, light a fire, etc. I always hated those stories. I found myself having to have actual conversations with my children. Ewww.
But Juno finally sent out an e-mail manifesto to all subscribers last Monday that said, basically, “Okay, all you freeloaders, out there dialing up Juno Free Internet, starting December 4 we’re gonna make it real tough for you to get on-line. We’re gonna add some more ad banners, we’re gonna kick you off a lot more during peak periods, and worst of all, we’re gonna keep yammering up into your face about this until you subscribe. So you can put up with even more BS–or you can click here.” So I clicked.
Upside, no ad banner. Downside, still slow. Upside, cheap Web access. Downside, still slow. Upside, the Better Half can look at his car ads and computer MBs without having to schlep down to the public library. Downside, still slow.
So, I’m extremely pleased to be back. Nice to see that nothing has changed at all. And at this end, we have resumed the familial squabbling over whose turn it is to do Internet. Just like old times…
And if I once again disappear abruptly, it will be because the estimable Mr. Ardai will have disappeared back into whatever interdimensional black hole it was that gave birth to him, taking his meshugginah ISP with him.
P.S. You know, [hijack] if you keep drinking Nyquil like that, you can get serious liver damage, or even die. Really. An acetominophen overdose destroys your liver. But hey, sorry you’re feeling under the weather. Chicken soup is good. Also a cold mist vaporizer.
Welcome back, DDG. Please resume your usual level of posting, effective as of now.
Hello Duck Duck Goose, nice to meetcha. Any friend of scratchie’s is a friend o’ mine. If you’re not careful, he’ll assimilate you into his posse.
Welcome back!
Nice to have you back. Bit amazing that you were able to stay off this drug for so long…
HI DUCK DUCK! Welcome Back!
Hello Duck Duck Goose! My 17th favourite poster is back! Glad to see you have rejoined us.
In your honour, I will include my little-used sig line that you courteously dug out for me from a dusty poetry book.
Stick around longer this time! I personally enjoy reading your posts.

Behold him, – Arnold Winkelried!
There sounds not to the trump of fame
The echo of a nobler name.

AHA! The secret of the fine print is revealed at last!

Oh, yes, and hi to Goose. My 17th favorite poster too I guess, but who’s counting
Welcome back Duck Duck Goose again (I posted an earlier “welcome back” in 'scratch’s “Where’s Duck Duck Goose?” thread also).
And to the aptly named [hijack]: Really, DDG’s medical advise was sound, dear.
Welcome back, Duck Duck Goose!
Hi, DDG, glad you’re back! Here’s wishing good Juno ju-ju for you (May your connections be solid and with few busy signals).
