I actually don’t accumulate than much inf. My SG coffers are full of spare Catalysts, Prismatic Aethers, and I/O sets I can sell to AH if I need some cash. By doing 2 3-rd Hami raids nightly, I pile up the RMs and Emps, so I twink my alts. I buy attuned sets (2 AT sets, 1 single attack set and 1 aoe set), which my alts can equip when they have the slots, and they’re good until level 50. When that happens, I use Catalysts to turn them into Super Attuned sets (gives about a 5% bonus) and then equip the level 50 purple I/O sets. I buy Boosters with leftover RMs to boost the purple enhs to +5 each (usually 5/6 of the set can be boosted). Then when the toon is maxed out, I retire it and work on a new one. ![]()
The studio that originally developed City of Hereos, Cryptic Studios, is closing. CoH itself was sold off long ago, but Cryptic was still maintaining Champions Online, Star Trek Online, and Neverwinter. Presumably continuing maintenance is being handed off to another group.
I was a big fan of Neverwinter and Star Trek Online; in STO I totally maxed out a bunch of captains and ships from every faction. I only stopped because I pretty much finished everything and there wasn’t much to do anymore except wait for the next event.
It would still be sad if they closed down.
Unfortunately, once a certain percentage of people reach the “finished everything and there wasn’t much to do anymore except wait for the next event” stage, it almost automatically triggers the “So long, and thanks for all the fish!” stage.
