You really haven’t looked around the animal kingdom much, have you? If you did, you would see ant colonies starting wars with other ants and committing what we would call genocide. You would see ducks gang-raping other ducks. You would see lions eating the young of other lions to preserve their own genetic line. It’s tooth and claw out there

He’d have done something to a war that would have gotten semen stains on it, but not actually “fucked” it. 
He would have beaten off our enemies.
Pointless is accepting war as inevitable. It is not pointless to ascribe to something better. We should all hope to be better.
