matt_mcl what’s worse, is that he was 65 when he died (I think). Which is about 24 more years then the average person from Sierra Leone gets to live (38.9 years!).
Correction: Screw it, you do your own math. Either way, it doesn’t add up to rightous justice.
The 2002 CIA Factbook estimates that the average life expectancy of a male born in Sierra Leone is 43.01 years.
UncleBeer I don’t know how accurate the 2002 CIA Factbook is, but for my stats I was using the UNHDR 2002 for a male/female.
However, in checking more recent figures, the UNHDR 2003 claims life expectancy for a male/female in Sierra Leone is now 34.5!
I’d expect for just males it would be slightly lower in both cases.
