I’m the dipshit of the title.
I’m doing paper work, computer work, phone calls and stuff in my home office today because I start a new project tomorrow and I needed to get caught up on stuff.
While I’m on the computer (yes, I keep a window open for the Dope, even when in Corel Office stuff…), I also have the little TV on in the background.
Well, I finish an entry, sit back, turn up the TV, and start channel surfing.
An interesting news piece about Iraq catches my eye and I stop surfing to watch it. It’s a well done piece, but it seemed rather slanted to a particular point of view. Then, the anchor says some stuff that is clearly editorial opinion. Stuff that would cause a great deal of debate here on the Dope.
The next story is even more decidely right wing. With a religious POV thrown in.
Now, I happen to be more or less religious myself, and I’m sure some of my politcal leanings could be labled right-ish. But, I am my own man. I make my own decisions. I expect the news to be delivered to me in such a way that I can draw my own conclusions.
While I’m not a huge CNN fan, I was surprised at just how blatent their editorialising was for these news items.
That’s when I looked with clearer eyes at what just flashed up on the TV screen.
It wasn’t CNN.
It was CBN!
