But I’d like to thank whoever it was! I got home from dinner with the folks to discover that someone cut my grass!!! I have no idea why, as it really didn’t need it. I just cut it the other day and it hasn’t grown up much since then. Still, someone most definately cut as instead of being slightly taller than the neighbors grass, its now lower. It was too dark for me to tell if they trimmed around the bushes and things like that, but whomever they were, they did a good job cutting it. So whoever you were, thanks. I just hope you don’t try and charge me for it. (But if you want to come back and cut my grass for free next week, be my guest!)
It was Me!!!
Just kidding.
Now wasn’t that nice of them…and aren’t you sweet to be appreciative…unlike someone in the Pit a while back who got bent out of shape when their neighbor did the same thing for them. I tell you, the day I came home to find that my brother had come over and mowed my entire, albeit miniscule compared to some, lawn…I sat in the car and cried. And when my neighbor once mowed my entire, albeit larger than my yard, treelawn just because he was “on a roll and in the groove”, I couldn’t thank him enough.
Interesting. In St. Louis (some neighborhoods, anyway) cutting a neighbor’s lawn without being asked is considered to be one of the highest forms of insult. The rationale seems to be “If that pig won’t take care of his own yard, I’ll be damned if I’m going to let him run down the property values for the rest of us!”
I hope your neighbors aren’t like that.
Gotta tell you, I am STILL in a good mood because this past December an unknown entity plowed all the snow off my driveway. Blessings upon the heads of those wonderful good-deed-doers!
It’s ok… I stole some stuff from your garage.
