and was blown away.
Normally, I fall asleep befor a movie is half over, but this time I was wide awake till the very end feeling grateful to my two favorite actors who delivered superb performances.
Jack Nickelson, in my book,is the most talented actor to ever appear on the silver screen. His character and emotion range knows no limits and his facial repertoire is more broad and intense than either Stephen Colbert or Jim Carey and his eyes play a big role. He’s so satisfying to watch.
Morgan Freeman on the other hand has my heart. I love his singular laid back character that we see in “Driving Miss Daisy”, “The Sawshank Redemption” and now this movie. It was good to see Morgan laugh till it hurt’s though. Tell’s me his talent hasn’t been fully tapped.
Putting Jack and Morgan together was brilliant. Add a brilliant theme and you’ve got a classic . Anyone notice the significance of Cater’s narration of Edward’s eulogy performance ?
