Not at school yet, but I’m at my Aunt and Uncle’s house until the semester starts.
I miss my girl. It’s the start of another grind of time where we can’t see each other. Sigh. We made it through the worst one, though, and we’ll make it for this one.
I went ice skating the other day. I haven’t been for years. My feet are still killing me.
The new semester starts on the 4th. I’m taking a bio course called Dinosaurs, a socilinguistics class, and some religion course. Should be interesting. It’s funny- I’ve started to think of my dorm room as home, in a lot of ways. Other than feeling at home with quietgirl, I felt like I was a visitor- like the room I’ve slept in most of my life wasn’t really my room. Does anyone else ever feel like that?
So, as I haven’t had access to the computer for some days now… did I miss anything interesting?
All the time. Coming home on the occasional break last year was strange, and this year it’s even stranger. (The best part was when I was told at the Canadian border this summer that I’m now a Canadian resident (because I was there for 8 months straight). Very strange!) As they say, “Home is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there.”
Best of luck to you and quietgirl! My girlfriend and I did the long distance thing for one year away, but I called it off this year. (Long story, not a happy one.) I still wish it didn’t have to be this way … sigh. I hope it works out for you guys.
