I have always found the role of family nurse to be the most difficult one out there (I’m a nurse as well). For some reason, it acts as a lightening bolt to others.

Glad MIL is in a rehab–just the place for her. Also glad FIl is gone–I hope all goes smoothly from here on out. It sounds to me like he is failing somewhat and knows it and resents it.

It is hard to not take that personally. I agree that his cruel remark should just be ignored, but that’s easy to say…
