My employer mailed me a cell phone. I don’t recall if I got it on Thursday or Friday, but I couldn’t insert the SIM card until after work on Friday. So as far as I’m concerned, Friday, September 4th was the phone’s “birthday”. I have yet to receive any work phone calls on said phone, which makes sense given the timing.
Today, Monday, September 7th, Labour Day, I just got my first scam call on the phone. Well, that was fast. I assume they are using an auto-dialer. Unfortunately the “scam catcher” did not catch this call, which came “from” a 1-800 number, so it was obviously a scam.
