As some of you know, two Tuesdays ago I got a new little kitten from the shelter. (Well, not so little - he was supposed to be 11 weeks old, but if he is he’s huge.) I was all upset over how my existing cat was taking it, and really considering finding the little guy a new home if it didn’t work out. Then they started getting along better just in time for the new guy to start up a nasty cold! (I was a little worried about getting too attached to him then after one of you guys said something about how “they can decline so fast”!
But now everybody’s healthy and getting along (or at least wrestling somewhat nicely) so I thought I’d show you the pictures I haven’t been posting just in case I had to get rid of the little guy! (His name is Edison, but “Booger” kinda stuck.)
Booger’s kinda funny looking by nature, and it doesn’t help when he makes faces.
Aww yeah, who’s the black private dick who’s a sex machine with all the chicks? I’m talkin’ 'bout Booger!
Remember how I was so worried about Dewey refusing to lay down in his bed and watch out the window? And how it was so upsetting that he wasn’t there to greet me when I came home? Yeah, they worked that out.
Even the boyfriend now heartily approves of Edison. (He was very worried about Dewey in the beginning and tried to talk me out of getting a new one. Then when they weren’t getting along I yelled at him for not trying harder to talk me out of it!)
He/She looks so much like Dewey! At least here, you almost never see a tabby with those fat stripes (I hear they’re more common elsewhere, like polydactylism and other cat traits.) Even has that “will you STOP THAT” look on its face.
My cats aren’t especially fond of each other, but they get along OK most of the time. They are littermates. Anyway, I finally got around to creating a yahoo album so I could participate in these cat threads. Here’s one of the photos
