How do you suggest I feed two cats different food?

Well, I guess we’ve decided to keep the new kitten. (His name is Edison, but “Shithead” is what stuck.) Now, he’s supposed to be eating kitten chow and Dewey has his grownup food, but getting them to eat seperately is just not working out! I tried stuffing them in different rooms and feeding twice a day, but they eat for a second and then whine at the door. Guess they’ve gotten attached. Well, then I took Edison’s food away, but Dewey hadn’t eaten much at all, so I put it up on a table I thought Edison couldn’t jump to. Wrong.

The little guy clearly prefers the adult cat food to his own. How have you guys solved this one?

Is there any particular reason they can’t both eat the kitten chow?

Kitten chow for the both of them, until Edison graduates to regular chow.

It won’t make Dewey pork up? Also, what if Edison pigs it all up?

Edison won’t hog it all. Dewey will make sure he gets his share. If Dewey starts to gain a bit of weight, put him on an exercise plan, although playing with a kitten should be enough.
