Well, being a so called christian nation, by and large, it would stand to reason that a little of the crusader is imbedded in our collective psyche as americans. This is just my opinion.
I was too young when it happened to really understand anything about it. I don’t remember any talk about Muslim terrorism from that time, but I was only 9 years old and didn’t really pay attention to the news. I do remember the first World Trade Center bombing, but can’t recall a whole lot of attention paid to it after the immediate news of it.
That’s kind of why we left ourselves open for the 9/11 attack. We were too busy laughing at the bumbling terrorists to think they might try again.
