Thanks for all the kind words!
Congratulations, my friend!
Yay baby!!! I’m currently in a do-over with my granddaughter, and it’s been a blast! Yeah, I know, grandbabbies are easier, but it’s still a blast watching a teeny little bundle turn into a mini human being, discovering the world. You’ve got some amazing adventures ahead!
Healthy babby thoughts to you and yours!
Dopers have helped pick pet names, we should get to help pick the kid’s name!
Not!
Congratulations!!!
Best of luck!
Yeah, yeah, yeah… new baby… boy or girl?.. spitting image of mom or dad?.. Yale or Harvard?.. whatever.
Here’s what everyone really needs to know: Republican or Democrat?
Mazel Tov, to all.
Aww, thank you for the very kind words!
Congratulations! Appreciate every moment.
Mazel Tov. Your life will change and you will occasionally wonder whether it was worth it. Believe me, it is. (Of course, my kids are unusal.)
One hospital here has banned fathers from the delivery room. One father who apparently already knew he was infected with Covid accompanied his wife in the delivery. When the hospital discovered this, they just banned fathers. It is no tragedy if you aren’t there. I was present at the birth only of my third and there was no permanent harm. When my oldest was born, state law banned fathers. When the second was born, we had no one to baby-sit the first and I stayed home.
I hope everything goes well.
Thanks. It’s not so much about feeling the need to be present for the birth (though I’d like to be), but feeling the need to be present to support my wife. Hopefully I’ll be able to be there.
I was present and helped with the birth of my son and daughter. Truly an amazing experience, not to be missed if possible. My son took awhile, then I ordered some food for dinner and the minute my food arrived he wanted out. A nurse gave me a glare when I tried to combine eating with his birth.
Congratulations!!
Congrats!
Congrats, a new doper on the way, woohoo!
Congrats man.
Congratulations !
Mazel tov!
Yay! Getting a jump on next year’s baby boom?
I’m sure you’ll be a great Dad!
Oh what good news! Congratulations to you and your wife.
l’chaim.
Congratulations, Andy! Wow, a little bit of joyous news is welcome.
A friend of mine here just had her first. Didn’t even occur to me to wonder if her husband was permitted in the birthing room. But mother and daughter are doing fine.
