All right, I’ll bite: yes, we were told the truth about World War II, at least for the most part. The desire to suppress incovenient truths was overwhelmed by the first-hand eyewitness accounts from multiple independent sources, which have to a large degree been compiled and thus corroborated by journalists and academics. The conspiracy theories you believe are a type of contemporary legend, and therefore any attempt to critically analyze the content of a story you believe will only make you defensive or angry, since it is perceived as an attack on your identity. Therefore, you are incapable of rational debate on the subject, as you are heavily invested in its truth value. The “conspiracy” element means that you have access to elaborate arguments which allow you to dismiss any data which threatens your ideas.

This is all assuming you are genuine and not a troll.

So, if you like, yes: you’ve totally convinced us. You’ve done your job here, and made this corner of the internet aware of these dangers. Let’s play this another way, asshole. My father was in the US Navy and took part in the Normandy invasion as a crewman on the USS LCI(L) 319, which disembarked troops at Utah beach. He told me a few things about his experiences, among which was that he spent several weeks after D-day “playing touch football and burying people.” I am pretty sure he told me the truth.
