Everybody should care, it’s important information. For example, we know that the Masons, Angel, and Seer are all still alive. On Day 3, with the wolves leaderless, that’s not too shabby for the townies.
Seconded. Feel free to post to taunt or something, but no strategy and no “playing the game” from non-players, please.
[nonplayer taunting]
On the other hand, you’ve lost three and only gotten ONE from the wolves’ side.

(ducks and runs very fast)
[/nonplayer taunting]
Yeah, but that doesn’t mean anything, because I’m the Village Idiot.
That should be a role: “Villager too dumb to eat, too clueless to lynch.”
You’re lucky this village isn’t in Texas. Hehe.
I wish it was… I’d be President of Ceciltown.
The first number is the number of times they voted, the second is how many times they have been voted for.
Richard Parker 5,3
Mennochio 1,7
Rubystreak 2,1
Ogre 4,5
Miller 4,8
Enginerd 2,2
jsgoddess 4,7
hocow 2,1
Kat 5,2
Rysto 2,0
Sturmhauke 1,0
Jsexton 4,8
Suburban Plankton 2,0
Cometothedarkside 2,0
Madtheswine 3,0
oneandonlywanderer 6,9
Unfinished Symphony 2,0
Winston Smith 4,2
dnooman 4,0
moonstarsun 2,7
Captain Carrot 4,1
Unvotes not counted.
There were two instances on my grid where data converged in an unusual way. The first was that Richard Parker voted for Ogre on both day one and day two. The second was that Kat voted for moonstarsun twice on day two, due to an unvote in between them. Also, Sturmhauke is the only person to have only voted once, besides Mennochio.
Other than that, there’s not a whole lot of interesting things going on at the moment (mathematically speaking).
Well, OK. I’ll go along with you guys’ wishes, but for the record, I want to say that it really wouldn’t bother me if a nonplayer implied they thought I was a werewolf. I would view it as sorta adding to the background of paranoia and suspicion. As such, it would seem to be very much in the spirit of the game. carnivorousplant would be that one devilish voice in the back of the crowd that, just as the angry mob is considering dispersing and settling down, yells “HE’S A WEREWOLF! HE KILLED MY DADDY!”, thus catalyzing all sorts of chaos and confusion.
Is “Bama” “South of the Mason-Dixon”?
Putting my name on the waiting list for round 2
It’s about as far south of the Mason-Dixon line as it’s possible to get, both geographically and culturally.
Why?
Okay, I’m totally out of strategy at the moment. Does anyone have any objective reasoning for suspicion to lay out today?
Oh, and when does today end?
People don’t like my “pick on the lurkers” strategy. I think it’s pretty objective, but apparently, applying rational and logical criteria aren’t really the most valued qualities in a lynch mob.
So I’m out of ideas too.
6.00pm my time next Wednesday.
I just read through this whole 19 (for me) page topic and I’m enjoying it as much if I were playing.
Great job. Hope to see it played out to the end…and be signed up, with more hope, for a game 2.
Voting for the person who has posted the least as a policy, makes it seem that you do not want to be held accountable for your votes. Saying that the poster with the least posts is a werewolf, is neither rational nor logical. Low post counts can be indicative of one being overly cautious, but it can also be due to other factors.
“One can act a fool for only so long, until it is apparent that they are genius.”
[sub]Okay, I made up the quote. I thought it sounded cool though.[/sub]
Short thoughts so far…
Winston Smith is being rather quick on the defensive. A bit suspicious, although he could be a townie trying hard to avoid death.
And from yesterday, I still have my suspicions about Richard Parker for his redundant assertion that he is not a werewolf. Come to think of it, Winston’s blunt declaration of not being a werewolf raises my eyebrow for the same reason. :dubious:
Alas, I must re-read the thread later to get a better handle on my thoughts.
I had my last day at my job of 8 years today, and start a new job 2000 miles away on Monday morning. Over the next few days I intend to join the folks who have crawled through the thread with a fine-toothed comb. I may not be posting much or often during that time, but shall be devoutly partaking of rumination on facilitation of the ruination of the lycanthropic nation.
Nice.
How so? I can always be lynched if people don’t like my voting policies. I’m as accountable as anyone is. Contrariwise, I am trying to hold people responsible for their own attempts to weasel out of accountability. If you don’t post, how can we know if you’re a werewolf? We can’t. We have nothing to go on, which makes it more dangerous for all of us.
jsgoddess has 63 posts to this 19 page thread. Say what you want about her, she’s putting her deal out there for people to judge. She almost got lynched for it, and I think she’s a loose cannon, but a lurker she ain’t. hocow and Captain Carrot each have only 17 posts to this 19 page thread. Shouldn’t there be some penalty, some risk for that kind of non-posting behavior? They could very well be hiding something big, and how would we ever know?
This seems rational to me, as rational as singling people out because you don’t like their name or their posts about bacon in other threads. I have no idea if hocow or **Captain Carrot ** is a werewolf, but I think it’s more likely than jsgoddess being a werewolf based on posting behavior. I mean, what else do we have to go on? If you have some better criteria for us to evaluate, please offer them.
The late, lamented JSexton agreed with me on this, btw… ::gulp::
OK, maybe I should shut up.
