Werewolf - a game.

By “reasonably sure”, I mean that he seemed more likely than anyone else at the time, not that I had an ironclad conviction. Partly it was because of JSexton’s idea of catching bandwagon jumpers and partly it was just a hunch.

I’m just posting to show that I haven’t abandoned the game; I can’t figure anything out at this point.

I’m voting again for Winston Smith.

The first time I voted for him, in the first day, I commented that he was trying very hard not to say anything. That feeling has simply been reinforced.

I don’t see any point to delaying my vote. I’m at a bit of an impasse.

It coincided with me calling you out for lurking. Go back and look if you don’t believe me. That’s what I find suspicious.

Some players still have less than 20 posts in this entire thread. Are you telling me you can confidently state that they are villagers? If so, how do you know? I don’t think we have enough info on them.

I haven’t voted to lynch people with lots of posts either. Maybe I’m too trusting.

I actually have no idea who is and who isn’t a werewolf. I find it kind of disturbing. I feel kind of bad accusing people, too. I think maybe it’s easier for me to accuse people I don’t know, ie, lurkers, because I don’t feel as bad threatening to lynch them.

I blow my nose in your tissue of lies! But seriously, you were lurking your ass off there for a while. Once I started calling you on it, you started posting more. I think people trust you more now because of it.

Personally, I also find Winston Smith suspicious. Is casting votes this early worth doing?

If it’s all just roleplay, why should you feel bad accusing people? It’s all just part of the game.

I sense a contradiction. Perhaps you feel bad accusing people because you know damn well they’re not werewolves. In light of my own and Miller’s posts on the matter, I hereby vote for Rubystreak.

Yeah, it is. But once you’re out, you can’t play anymore. That’s what I feel bad about.

This is me, being penalized for not lurking more and posting less. Gotta find something to vote for, huh. Pretty ironic, eh?

I agree with you on this,Winston’s post contain little, if any, substance, up until the point he gets the FOS.Then he chimes up with a little more than posts about hanging out in the pub.Vote Winston Smith

I have to admit I’m completely lost at this point. There are a couple of people I have my eye on right now, but I need to review the thread again before I start naming names.

I’ll try to come up with some more wild, unsubstantiated accusations before the weekend is out.

I have strong suspicions about three people. I think one of them is just about one post away from confirming my suspicion.

A few notes about the data so far (which seems to be getting more interesting):

Both Mennochio and moonstarsun were lynched with 7 votes total for each. Rysto was eaten with zero votes for him, then JSexton was eaten with 8 votes for him total. He was in danger of being lynched to some degree, so why didn’t the wolves let him get lynched the next day? Perhaps he was more informative than the wolves would have liked.

The other leading (and still living) vote getters are One And Only Wanderers with 9, Miller with 8, and jsgoddess with 7. OAOW claimed Mason and was not called out, so he seems to be trustworthy. Miller escaped the noose presumably because he became more involved. jsgoddess seems to be taking a back seat recently. I can’t say I blame her, she was really close to being hung. Has she been eliminated as a possible wolf?

Ok, back to the data. There are only a few intersections of votes on my chart. Winston Smith was voted for twice by jsgoddess on days one and three. He was also voted for twice by Madtheswine on days two and three.

Kat voted for moonstarsun twice on day two. Richard Parker voted for Ogre on day one and two. Miller voted for Rubystreak on day two and three.

One And Only Wanderers has both the highest number of votes (7), and has been voted for the most times (9).

Both people that have been eaten so far, voted to lynch Mennochio.

Captain Carrot and Kat both voted for Mennochio. Captain Carrotwas the only person to vote JSexton and moonstarsun. Kat voted for moonstarsun twice in one day, the only same-day double vote yet.

It’s not about how often you post, it’s about what you have to say and how you say it. You talk a lot, but there’s really very little to analyze, and the whole Village Idiot schtick isn’t convincing me.

Well, welly, well. Starting up a lynch Winston bandwagon, are ye? Let’s see some evidency, ye fluffy, flea-bitten children of bachelors. What? You can’t produce any compelling evidence or arguments? Goodness. Perhaps that’s because you haven’t got any. As a matter of fact, I’ve been quite forthright in deed and word, and stated quite plainly that I’m an innocent villager. You’re looking for me to tip my hand perhaps? “Get sloppy” and give the townsfolk a hint that I’m a werewolf? It won’t happen, 'cause I ain’t.

Lynch me, if you will, but do so and my epitaph will be thus:

I can’t.

You know, I really expected to feel like we had more evidence at this stage. But I don’t really feel like we do. Our werewolf kill happened so early that we didn’t get a chance to learn much from him. And since then it’s been townies. Townies don’t know anything, so we can’t glean anything from their deaths.

Strange to say that I think we might actually be worse off for having picked off a werewolf through dumb luck.

There are what, 17 people still playing? Most of them are staying pretty silent.

Generally speaking, I think a week per day is too long, at least in these early days. We simply have to start whacking people since what we learn after someone’s death is pretty much all we have. And I can’t see a huge point to waiting until a week is over to whack 'em, either–even if I’m the whackee.

Well, that’s my point. You can’t produce a single shred of evidence that even hints that I might be a werewolf. Yet you vote for me. Yes: I cast a random voted for you on Day 1 , are you still sore about that? Really, your continued vocal suspicion of me is starting to make me a bit suspicious of you (and your hairy friend over there).

So, then, lynch me if you must. But remember - I’m an innocent and if you send me to the gallows I will reach from the grave and see to it that the architects of my undoing get their necks stretched next.

I don’t have a single shred of evidence for anyone. Someone has to vote for someone. I’m voting for you (currently. If some grand pronouncement comes, that could change). If you’re a townie and that gets me killed a little earlier, fine. I would rather vote and move on to the next round, whether that means I get strung up sooner or not. Someone dies every day. If it’s not you, it’s someone else. Frankly, there have been a couple of times I’ve hoped it’s been me because this is just frustrating.

I thought your behavior was funky enough the first day to vote for you. Your behavior hasn’t changed, so it’s still funky enough to vote for you. If I picked someone else, it would be with exactly the same amount of evidence–slim to none.

So be it. I’ll save you a seat by the fire.

What have you said that gives us tons to analyze? What has ANYONE said? I mean, what could anyone say that would convince you they were town, beside a role reveal like OAOW gave? I understand that everyone has to single someone out, or the game would never go anywhere, but personally, I’d rather focus my attentions on people who are saying nothing, because those are the folks we REALLY don’t know anything about.

I agree with jsgoddess that a week per day is too much. The game is going to drag on a long time, and I worry that I won’t be able to keep on top of it (due to real life obligations) for months on end. Can we speed it up somehow?

These people did not vote last round, unless I’m mistaken.

Richard Parker, sturmhauke, and Suburban Plankton.

They didn’t even throw a vote toward someone who was in no danger. Is that more suspicious, or less?

How about this; i’ll move down the deadline from 8 votes to 4. So once someone’s accrued 4 votes, there will be a 24 countdown until the day ends in which you can still change your minds (though it’ll still be 24 hours if people have less than 4 through vote changing).

Reasonable? I’m happy to make any changes. The point is after all to have fun.

That’s good 'cause my feet are frozen.

I wonder if games with fewer people work better.

I’d rather see a shorter duration of our days than lower threshhold for votes - I still think there’s the contingent that strategizes to wait til lthe last minute to vote.
