Interestingly, my honest and forthright typing seems to have come across as low-down-double-crossing-flea-bitten-wolfspeak. Maybe I would have better luck at the in-person version…
This came up in the other thread, but I wanted to address it here too, now that we all have access to the night discussions.
I was honestly surprised to discover that Ogre was the GA and had been killed. I did see his post that night before I emailed Rev, but I had already made up my mind to investigate someone other than MadTheSwine before I got home from work. I figured if he was a wolf he’d be alive the next day, and if he wasn’t he’d be dinner, whether or not he was actually the GA. Also, dnooman’s constant refrain of “we should investigate MadTheSwine” sounded like he knew what I would find, and was hoping I would then ignore him.
On the night I was killed, I had investigated Captain Carrot, but of course I couldn’t post my findings. unfinished symphony was pretty much at the bottom of my suspect list, even this late in the game.
It’s funny, it looks like the eating of **Ogre **secured victory for the Townspeople. That night the town looked like this.
Accepted Town
One and Only Wanderers, Mason
sturnmhauke, Seer
jsgoddess, Townsperson
Richard Parker, Townsperson
Unknowns
Captain Carrot, Townsperson
Enginerd, Mason
Suburban Plankton, Mason
unfinished symphony, Werewolf
Ogre, Guardian Angel
MadTheSwine, Werewolf
dnooman, Werewolf
Kat, Townsperson
That night there were 4 + 2 townsfolk which **OAOW **could have confirmed. And 8 - 2 unknown folk. Leaving a 6 to 6 tie. When the wolves ate Ogre, an unknown who was the GA the Outable knowns took an unbeatable 6 to 5 lead. I’m counting the unknown masons as knowns since there would be no way that **OAOW **would let the other masons be lynched. It actually wouldn’t have matter numerically who the seer investigated. In fact had sturmhauke found either Captain Carrot or Kat that night they would have awoken to a 7 to 4 margin.
Looking at that night however it seems as though any other choice would have been worse. Leaving the GA and a known seer, absolutely deadly. And the day before went perfectly for them. Strange and challenging game.
Riveting entertainment, all. Rev, I’ll be out stocking up on wolvesbane, belladonna and powdered silver - which will be no end of use if the next game has a mafia theme or some such.
Just to add to the thanks to Revenant Threshold, and also to the players. An excellent spectator sport.
I have started a new round of the the game in this thread. Just wanted to make sure none of the original players missed thier chance for a second go around.
