By now we’ve essentially got two different West Wing series; the good one with Josh, Will, Donna, Jimmy Smits, and Alan Alda, and the bad one with C.J., Toby, Leo, Charlie, the Bartlets, what’s-her-name, and the other what’s-her-name. But it appears next week’s episode will bring cast members from these two shows together for a dramatic confrontation over custody of the show’s Emmy Awards.
Next week…on an all new West Wing:
President Bartlet finally bitch-slaps Toby— “I said SINGLE MALT SCOTCH!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!!!”
And C.J. reveals a secret— “I’m pregnant…and you’re the father, Leo!”
I gave up on this show when Leo came back and was reviewing tapes of past SOtU addresses.
So I have extra time in the evenings after lost to get caught up on watching the DS9 episodes that I taped that afternoon.
Mary Louise Parker is back. It’s a weird thing about her, I never found her the least bit appealing in anything she’s been in, but her character on West Wing is smoking hot! I can’t put my finger on it, but something about Amy Gardner gives me ideas that would make Abbie Bartlett blush.
Abbie Bartlett? Not likely. But C.J.? Yeah.
And I agree about MLP.
What’s Josh doing back in the WW anyway? Trolling for favors? Hmmm. Still, I’m riding the Santos wave, and I hope we see more of Hoynes/Russell & Alda in the future, too.
Oops. I watched last night’s show and was wondering what happened to the good West Wing
Truly, I didn’t think it was a horrible show, but I really was thinking that at least part of the show called The West Wing should actually take place IN the West Wing.
Of course, I could be wrong. I get that a lot
Except for nearly always finding her hot, I agree about Mary Louise Parker and her character on the show. Dayum!
You came so close. I agree that recent episodes of West Wing: the Original Series have been lame. But West Wing: the Next Generation has been running some great episodes. Merhouse admittedly, seems to think the building is actually the star of the show, but he’s got the word “house” in his username so he may have an architecture fetish.
And Mary Louise Parker is always a babe.
I’m still curious as to where Matt Santos is getting any money to finance his campaign.
I think they mentioned at one point that he had tapped his supporters from his congressional campaigns back in Texas for the start-up costs. Matt was saying he had pretty much gotten all he could from them and Josh was suggesting putting out a call to Latinos. Matt said he didn’t want to do this because he didn’t want to look like a candidate for just Latinos.
MLP is hot, but she didn’t look her best this week. Anyone else chuckle when Santos asked Josh where he had been and he said he’d been tied up?
LOL, that would be me. I really did LOL
BTW, Nemo, I hadn’t thought about the “house” thing, but, hmmm, maybe that is why I feel that way! I seriously dunno what my problem with The Next Generation is, although as I type this, maybe it’s the same problem I have in the “real world” where the government takes a year off from every term to get themselves elected or re-elected. (I can almost see myself ending up in The Pit over this, but I’m really trying not to)
I’m getting way too deep here. This is without coffee. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it
Having said all this, I don’t have any intention of not watching it going forward. If nothing else, it sure beats anything else that’s on at that time. That’s what they need. More loyal fans like me
I love West Wing deeply, but y’all need to stop dissin’ Alias (which I tape every week, so that I can watch WW).
I missed the episode Wednesday. And I was so looking forward to seeing MLP again. She tied Josh up? What about Donna? Even if she wasn’t there too, don’t tell me. I’ve already got that scene written in my mind.
Funny you should mention Donna, Sean, because it appears she is dating someone. But I don’t want to ruin it for you.
Now, now, eating dinner together because there’s no one else to have dinner with isn’t “dating” per se, is it?
Ack, sorry!
I’ve never watched Alias, so I truly haven’t any idea how good or not good it is. It’s just one of those shows that since I never watched at the beginning, I don’t even think about watching now!
So, should I start watching it?
My wife sure though so before we started “Dating”–shows how much I know!
Oh, and Sean Factorum, we should also note that Donna nearly choked the chicken in this episode, too.
