We've just had a baby! At 30 weeks!

Yay, congrats! Get some sleep!

Congratulations! Please post pictures and a name when you have time!

That’s so awesome! I’m glad to hear baby and mommy are doing well. Make sure to take care of yourself, too.

We just had our fourth in May - I don’t know what I’d have done if any of our kids were early. As it is, all of our kids have been at least a week late. My oldest takes the prize though - she was a full three weeks overdue, which was a bit stressful waiting for the blessed event to happen. For 21 days.

But that’s nothing compared to the stress of having a baby born two months early. Here’s a tip to make it easier: if you don’t have all the baby stuff yet, don’t worry. An old laundry basket can make a fine bassinet, and a wheelbarrow can replace a stroller in a pinch (I keed, I keed!:D)

And again, congratulations!

congratulations. Happy to hear that everyone sounds healthy. Get some sleep because it’s your last chance.

Congratulations, and great to hear everyone’s doing fine.

Congrats! We’re due in 8 days, you just had to beat us didn’t you!

Yay, congratulations for a healthy baby! Now let’s hope she doesn’t spend the rest of her life being late to compensate

Shhhh! I think the OP is sleeping!

Congratulations, it’s really nice to find out that an early baby is doing so well.

Congratulations! Glad she’s doing so well despite the prematurity. So she’s going to be one of the youngest in her year rather than one of the eldest.

Wow, that’s wonderful that everyone is healthy. Congratulations.

My friend’s baby was born 12 weeks early and they also had not settled on a name. They put all the choices up on the whitebaord next to Mom’s bed and allowed people who came into the room (including all hospital personnel) to vote. (Of course they had the final veto or acceptance!)

We have a name. It’s actually the one we came up with on Monday night, the day before all this began - she obviously liked it and decided to come out before we changed our minds again, so we’re sticking with it.

She’s called Isla. Here she is. She’s still kind of wary of paparazzi, hence the mask.

I’m off to the hospital to see her again now.

Congratulations, Colophon and Mrs. Colophon! She’s beautiful and it’s a beautiful name!

Congratulations! I am so happy she’s healthy. She’s very sweet looking.

She’s adorable! She looks nice and plump for a preemie.

Here’s how to do the double-swaddle with hoodie, to keep that sweetie warm and snug! You can impress all the NICU nurses with it.

Congratulations! She’s lovely.

What a cutie! I love those little nommable biceps!

Welcome to the world baby girl.

Welcome to the Dad’s Club (I assume this is your first) Daughters division is through that door to the left, Sons division is to the right and general assembly hall is in the center. Up those stairs (remember this cause this is IMPORTANT) is the Office for Mediation of Disputes Between Divisions (they got everything from shotguns to lawyers)
PSSSST Baby girl Isla, don’t let him fool ya, you already have dad halfway wrapped around your little finger

Congratulations! She’s a cutie and she’s got great parents, it sounds like. Good luck to your family, and please keep us posted. With millions more pictures.

Oh my gosh she looks so wonderfully fat and pink for a preemie! Yay!

Only halfway? I swear, I can see him right there, smooshed under the IV arm board!

(I gotta say, I’m not an expert, but I’m thinking someone miscalculated the due date. She looks amazingly amazing and well developed for a 30 weeker, diabetic mom or not! No lanugo, ears and eyes open, great subcutaneous fat, and no need for oxygen…that’s just amazing!)
