I think it should be called the Naughties.
I just came up with this one: The dookies (deux k’s)
A generally accepted version does obviously not exist yet; if it did, you wouldn’t have to ask this question. IMHO it doesn’t make any sense to discuss this question now, at the very beginning of the decade. During the next 10 years, one version will arise and gain popularity, and this will be the generally accepted name.
I’ve been calling it 0X (oh-ex), but that’s just me.
I favor calling this decade the “pre-teens”.
