Aquaphor is petroleum jelly. 14oz. $15.
Vaseline is what? $4.
This is ridiculous.

You’re not giving it enough credit.

Oh, ok.
Artisanal, small-batch, locally-sourced, sustainably-raised petroleum jelly, clearly.
You forgot “organic”. That one is actually true.
It must be jelly cause jam don’t shake like that.
$27.00 in the form of Eight Hour Cream. I worked my way through a big tub of Eight Hour Cream and found it no better or worse than Vaseline (store brand) or Bag Balm if you want the cute tin. Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant | Award Winning Classic

I find it hard to understand how acids, alcohols and lanolin can be good for my skin.
Petroleum jelly is gonna be my go to. Watch me get allergies from it. Just my luck.
The consumers paying these prices are taking one up the butt and in the wallet.
There is no reason it should be expensive. It’s a by product on oil rigs.
I remember my grandad getting it from the oil field for cuts and scrapes. He worked on the rigs for 45 years.
Lanolin is a natural ingredient in wool, so it’s definitely good for sheep skin. “Acids and alcohols” are added to adjust the pH and texture.
I’m sensitive to lanolin. I’m allergic to wool. I assume it’s connected.
Aquaphor is dang expensive in my book. But sadly, it seems to work better for me than Vaseline. So I pay up for the tiny tubes that I can use on my lips without smearing my finger with it and then applying because just about anything else or any other method may cause allergy reactions
This reminds me of a boutique store I was in last weekend that had bottles of “small batch” simple syrup (for making cocktails) on the shelf. It’s just sugar and water!
But not grass-fed so I ain’t buying it.
Well, it was originally grass, a few tens of millions of years ago.
Ewe too?
mmm
You’re going to make Beck feel sheepish, and then she’ll break out in hives.
Baad Baad baad
How about if it’s free-range?
