What '80's "hair metal" song is on your mind right now?

For me, it’s “Round and Round” by Ratt.

And by the way, are there any redeeming features of hair metal? I can’t seem to put it behind me.

“I Wanna Rock!”

That IS a Twisted Sister pin on my uniform.

Wait, by White Lion. Proof that hair metal is, in fact, worthy.

The Road to Nowhere does, in fact, lead to Me.

I also sometimes worry about being run over by a Mad Machine, or getting caught in a Konya Wa Hurricane . . .

"With a pickled mind, we kick the the nipple beer, steady as you go, we’re flying of a trout . . . "

Every Rose has its Thorn by Poison.

What can I say, I caught a bit of MTV Cribs last night, and they were doing an item on whutshisname’s (lead singer for Poison) house in LA. The dude has his own dirtbike track in his back yard, ferchrissakes. And his baby’s bed had leopard skin covers. You can’t get much more rock and roll than that. Well, the three Jaguars and two Harleys were a contributing factor too, I suppose.

[sub]And “ERHIT” is actually a pretty decent ballad. Please don’t hurt me.[/sub]

I have “The Final Countdown” by Europe.

Love Bites, by that great band , Def Leppard.

I thought it was cool, lo those 13 years ago. Now it’s just funny.

Here we are,

Rock you like a hurricane.

The Scorpions
 Coldie you should be ashamed of yourself

[sub]I still know every word and guitar riff on "Live after Death by Maiden.[/sub] :o

NEVER be ashamed of yourself for liking Maiden, yojimbo. EVER.

BRING YOUR DAUGHTER TO THE SLAUGHTER!!

As soon as I read the title of this thread, I thought “(I’m Only) Seventeen” by Winger.

The upside to hair metal? Some of the guitar players had a pretty good grasp of musical theory. Plus they kept Marshall Amplifiers and Dippity-Do in business.

…GOD GAVE ROCK AND ROLL TO YOU! GAVE ROCK AND ROLL TO YOU!!..PUT IT IN THE SOULLLL OF EVERYONE!..headbangs ow.

“Into the Fire”

Guess that I’m still Rokken with Dokken.

[sub]Dear God, I can’t believe I said that.[/sub]

You mean it went out of style? Oops.

Warrant, Cherry Pie

I figure if the boomers can worship 60’s junk the rest of their lives, I can listen to Def Leppard, Warrant, Motley Crue and those guys for that long to annoy the boomers.

I have early Queensryche…“Gonna Get Close to You”

Well, none was until I saw the title of this.
Lessee…
Once Bitten Twice Shy by ?
Talk Dirty to Me by Poison
Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard
Come On Feel The Noize by ?(some goofballs)

I now also have “Fear of the Dark (Live in Milan)” in my head.

Nothing is truer than that!

I just picked up a 3 CD box set of 80’s Rock/Metal stuff. It’ll be in the changer at the party tomorrow.

“Y’all know what kinda health it’s about? Lemme hear you say it!”

“METAL HEALTH!”

Quiet Riot just ROCKED, dude.

And vanilla?

Once Bitten, Twice Shy (with that nice piano bit) is by Great White.

And Cum On Feel The Noize is by Quiet Riot (goofballs is true) but originally by the astonishingly good British Band, Slade.

Great White

Quiet Riot

(Shakes fist in rage)
Darn you JC!
Darn you to heck!

(stomps off to plot some sort of hair band related revenge)

Whatever song it was who’s video had Tawny Kitean (or however the hell she spelled that silly name) dancing on the hood of a Jaguar - I turned the sound off and just watched her.
