What '80's "hair metal" song is on your mind right now?

What are you? Insane?

Ian Hunter better than Slade? What the hell are you thinking?

I hereby banish you to listen to Anne Murray recordings (on vinyl!) for the rest of eternity!

Or until you repent. I’m a loving (but stern) God.

Um, fear me.

Does Lita Ford count? I’ve had this running through my head for the past couple of days:

Went to a party last Saturday night
Didn’t get laid, got in a fight
Hey hey hey
It ain’t no big thing…

DAMN that woman could play a guitar.

Silent Lucidity was a favourite of mine.

As I got older, I ended up singing shit from ‘hair metal bands’ for a living, and got tired of 'em.

Don’t know the name of the group off hand, but the name of the song was * Give Me Something to Believe In*

Metallica’s * Enter Sandman * is good too

Rosebud, you took mine!
“Cuz here I go gain, on my own! Goin’ down the old road I’ve ever known…”
Bahahaha. Oh, gods, I’m going to have that stuck in my head for weeks now!

Uma-Maru, you’re trolling for fellow BGC fans, aren’t you? ;] Now I’m gonna have to go put on my Vocal Collection #1 and set it on repeat to get Konya Wa out of my head.

Ginger: OHHH NOOOOO!!! OH GHOD MAKE THE LITA FORD STOP!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Anyone for Aerosmith? Love In An Elevator? Dude Looks Like a Lady?
-Ben “Oh, Mr. Tyler…” Cantrick

Ratt - “Lay It Down”

Go on over to the church music thread. It worked for me.

When I tell you Park Avenue leads ta’ SKID ROW"

Someone mentioned Iron Maiden. Bass to die for.

Another one I had a chance to relive was Aldo Nova. Friend of mine wanted to show off his brand new 2500 watt amp he’d bought for his DJ system. He took out Aldo Nova, and let the Huey’s and Machine gun fire crank. Sheee-it

Of course, my pick for eardrum torture is Def Leppard, Gods of War.

“Talk Dirty to Me” has been running through my head for the past couple of days. My BIL and husband went to a concert Wed. featuring Poison, Enough is Enough, Quiet Riot and Warrant. Woo Hoooooo! Envy us!

They are coming back next year. I am getting my acid washed jeans and crimping iron ready!!

45-36-52 you could say she’s got it all.
She was a whole lot of woman, a whole lot of Rosie to be sure. But one of my all time ac/dc favs is “Big Balls” esp the line “it’s my opinion my balls should be held every night.”

Although not a hair band without question “Turbo Lover” by Judas Priest was a great 80’s song.

Ronny James Dio -Man on the Silver mountain, The last in line, Holy diver,Rainbow in the dark—all great.

And what about Warrant’s “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”? Proabably the best song on the album IMHO.

But the one that’s stuck now after looking at this thread is…

  • But I know what I like, I know I like dancing with you
and I know what you like, I know you like dancing with me, Oh yes, Kiss me once, Kiss me twice Come on pretty baby…*

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to put on a very thin white gauzey dress and do cartwheels on my boyfriends Jag. * here I go again on my own*

I’l second Tommy the Cat when I say Darn this thread all to heck.

Goes a little something like this,

Judas Priest, Breaking the Law. A co-worker was singing it the other day, and I made the mistake of telling him it got stuck in my twisted brain. Now, every time he passes by he sings it, just to keep it there!

SKID ROW - I Remember You (all that long blond hair, I’ve never been with a white person even though I’m white myself) and
Without You - Motley Crue
Pour some sugar on me - Photograph - Def Leppard
Tora Tora - Puttin on my walkin shoes
Anything Guns 'N Roses
THE LIST GOES ON… AHHHH

I actually think that Sebastian Bach had a very good voice. If you really listen to that song, he really a vocal smoothness, range, and fluidity that isn’t too common in a lot of pop music, and certainly not in heavy metal.
