So in the past 3 weeks, the following has happened to me, in increasing order of life-changingness:
(1) I lost my cell phone and have to get a new one
(2) My company has made TWO massive changes, such that it is doing some fundamentally different things now than it was then. (Granted, this doesn’t really affect me on a day to day basis).
(3) More or less out of the blue, my car died, and I went out and bought a new car (a Honda Civic Hybrid)
(4) At the urging of my two roommates, my house is now the home to two kittens
and
(5) As discussed in this thread, I have become romantically entangled with a lovely female doper. Inconveniently, she lives in Australia. She came to visit, so we went from never having met in person to spending three straight weeks together. Well, most of them. And it went really well. And now we’re trying to figure out how soon she can come back and how long she can stay. (Oh, and in preparation for her visit I got new living room furniture, but that was more than three weeks ago.)
So, lots of excitement, as you can see.
