Ok, so you guys are strapped for cash (or at least you say so). You need the extra revenue the ads bring in. If this is the case, why not give members the option of paying a little extra to go ad free?
At this point, I’ll stick with Adblock and a modified hosts file.

Sure, and maybe next they could pester us with popups and then sell us Gold Membership to stop them.
