Disgusting ads

What is necessary to get those disgusting ads off the threads? Is there a fee for that?

Buy a membership.

Or use an ad-blocker.

Which ads do you find disgusting?

If there are problematic ads, e.g. porn or scam, then you can report them.

Use an adblocker. I like uBlock Origin, atm -

https://www.google.com/search?q=ublock+origin&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

There’s a version there for Firefox or Chrome.

Doesn’t everyone like those pictures of internal parasites and plastic surgery gone bad?

It’s a non-membership benefit.

Plus if you sign up now, you’ll miss out on live feeds from Moderator Bathroom Cam.

I thought Mods didn’t go to the bathroom; they just explode every now and then. That’s why we need new ones every so often and why they are issued jackboots. (For wading through the filth of fallen comrades.)

I prefer the fingernail fungus.

I use Adblock Plus for Firefox; I never see ads here.

Welcome back, Der Trihs!

I use adblock.

But, in those few times I have to access SD from a non-ad block equipped computer, I’m upset at how bad the ads this site takes really are. I think they make the SD look like crap.

If I don’t see any ads that result in me having an erection lasting more that 4 hours, permanent raccoon eyes, or excessive gambling I consider myself lucky.

I guess I’m the only one who kinda likes the ads!

I prefer the “pay” method. Become a member and they go away…

But you’ll miss out on Ron Paul and Warren Buffett’s predictions for the Apocalypse!

A membership here (which disappears all the ads) costs a whopping $15/year. Yep, for the cost of one Domino’s cardboard pizza, you can kiss those nasty ads goodbye for a year!

I wish the blogs I frequent had a deal as good as that. Seriously, we should be grateful to TPTB here that it’s as cheap and easy as it is to make the SDMB ads vanish.

Wait a minute…I could’ve had a pizza?

He specified “Domino’s”…

now we really ARE talking about disgusting ads…

Sure, you can report them, like the obnoxious BMO Harris ads that ran for a month. and be completely ignored.
