Don’t really want to start a new thread, figured this one is ‘topic adjacent’ (if that’s a thing), so here it is:
There’s a new right wing dating app, ‘The Right Stuff’, which is for, you got it, Trump supporters who got tired of being ghosted on Tinder, OKCupid, etc. Developed by Kaylan McAnany’s brother, TRS has, uh, hit a few snags:
- It’s almost all men.
- It’s ‘invite only’ which is seen as limiting potential users.
And, also, an unmarketed bonus feature!
- It asks if you participated in J6 Insurrection. If you click “yes”, according to reviews (and therefore unsubstantiated, let’s be clear, though the question about J6 is widely reported as an actual thing), you get a call/visit by the FBI.
The app is available on Apple but not Google, so no reviews for us Android peeps.
Will note that a dating app that happens to ask what crimes you may have committed, “you know, just between you and the ladies”, does sound a little hinky.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and all the insurrectionists will weed themselves out. I still find it hilarious that they essentially doxxed themselves by taking so many pictures and so much video. As if they really thought they weren’t doing anything wrong. No, they were proud of what they did.
For the record, almost all of them believed they weren’t doing anything wrong. Illegal, maybe (although the current defense is that they thought TFG would use the insurrection act, so not even illegal) but not Wrong. They were proud to document their place as part of the new American Reich! The fact that it backfired spectacularly makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like I just swallowed a kitten.

So if EM buys twitter and unbans Trump, then no one needs TS of course.
And we all know Trump would rather have the world-wide following on Twitter than the half-assed following on TS. And he and his goons almost certainly already pulled any of their money out during the initial investment inflation before reality kicked in…

I hope whoever replaced him in congress in competent and sensible enough that his former constituents can’t vote him back in. The man is almost as dumb as TFG.

- EM gets into the next major trouble (Tesla not meeting goals, SEC investigation, etc) and Trump has the audacity to say something about it.
- Reban Trump ‘for the good of the American Public.’ while simultaneously drowning all talk of major trouble (5) in the outrage on this latest about face.

Unfortunately for the Ketchup flinging toddler its not quite that easy.
First he signed some sort of non-competative agreement which restricts his ability to post on other platforms. From the SEC filing
President Trump is generally obligated to make any social media post on TruthSocial and may not make the same post on another social media site for 6 hours.
As far as the Trump having already made all of his money in the early days of DWAC, (which I myself have repeatedly claimed) I looked into it further not quite so clear. I think that the idea was that Trump would get a whole lot of DWAC stock once it completed the acquisition of Trump Media group which hasn’t happened and may not ever happen. So Trump is way too late to have made money by getting out early since he hasn’t even gotten in.
Yeah, but who’s going to enforce that obligation? It would be up to TS to sue him if he violated it. Anyone think that’s going to happen?
Given the number of lawsuits he’s invoked, he can’t possibly keep track of all of them. It is not completely implausible that Trump could accidentally end up suing himself. 
Doesn’t it have investors?
Pretty much the only value that TS has is that it is the social media platform of trump. If he starts tweeting, that destroys what value TS has, and I’d think that investors would have standing.
I’m sure they do have standing, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to sue either. How many people invested in TS because they thought it would make them a lot of money? Versus how many invested just to give Trump a new platform to make the libs cry?
