What about Trump's new social network? I hear crickets

Rest In Perdition?

More like repeat in perpetuity. That seems to be trumps M. Just keep spouting any given bit of nonsense until it becomes true or the public’s attention wanders.

I don’t know…they are throwing some serious shade. It’s more than funny. Sorry, just the facts, Jack.

This was a good one: Had a video clip and transcript:

Trump: They want to keep me here instead of campaigning in Iowa… They want me to be here

3 minutes later

Reporter: Will you be back tomorrow?

Trump: Probably not. We’re having a very big professional golf tournament at Doral, so probably not

The Dark Brandon merch has been selling pretty well for them. (I bought a shirt and I NEVER buy campaign tchotckhes.) Wouldn’t hurt to get a few more eyeballs in front of it.

Exponential? Is that followers2, or square followers?

“Trumpster…!”
“This world is mine, in time. You Gabriel, best of all of us should understand Ambition…”
“Son of Perdition! Little Hands! Most Unclean!”
“I do miss… the old names…”

Or maybe it was always on the road to Perdition…

Actually, I’m a bit miffed at myself for that parsing of RIP. After it was too late to edit the post, it occurred to me “Rot In Perdition” would be better.

No reason to be miffed. Sometimes a Chicago typewriter can help with the mulching too. /s

Apparently Trump doesn’t have enough legal issues to deal with.

Every time Trump files one of these frivolous lawsuits, I imagine angry judges wadding up the pages and tossing them at Trump’s lawyers as they chase them out of the courthouse to the tune of Yakety Sax.

But their scathing dismissals are almost as good.

Heh…

I assume that proving their case will require that they make their financial dealings open and discoverable. Did they really want this?

Seems to me like they’re almost broke and they’re seizing on a mistake someone made in a desperate attempt to save their business.

They’re alleging defamation which is really hard to prove. They’d need some strong evidence, like actual messages between people conspiring to make things up, which is what Dominion had when they successfully sued Fox News.

TMTG lawyers said that the “incredible circumstances” of all 20 outlets reporting the $73 million figure within hours of each other suggested a coordinated campaign.

Those aren’t “incredible circumstances”. Media outlets repeat each others’ stories constantly. Anything they consider newsworthy gets repeated everywhere. That’s how modern media works.

Many of these publications reported a retraction afterward which hardly looks like a malicious attempt at defamation.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was dismissed, potentially as frivolous with penalties. I expect it to backfire big time. This is what a dying rat looks like when it’s cornered; it lashes out.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see it quietly withdrawn by Trump lawyers. The whole point is to make initial noise about the lawsuit for the marching morons. They won’t know that the lawsuit has disappeared. Later, Trump can claim it was successful - actual facts are not important here.

Particularly when one of the first reporters is Reuters. “Copy and paste what Reuters said” is the whole point of Reuters.

I suppose in that case the best solution to make trump happy would be to ensure that no media outlet ever repeats anything he says. After all, them reporting his spews would amount to evil collusion.

Does anyone know what happened to Trump’s ACN fraud trial…….Trump is accused of fraud in his promotion of a pyramid scheme, using his name to dupe people into selling crappy videophones and custom vitamins ( you sent Trump a jar of your pee, he used it to formulate vitamins just for you!) .

Last I heard it was scheduled for Jan 29th 2024, and I haven’t found anything suggesting it’s been postponed.

I would NOT want to be a man named Brandon right now (or a woman named Karen, for that matter).

Looks like this might be the … least interesting? of all the stuff Agent Orange is dealing with legally at the moment, so it’s entirely possible that we might not hear any more about it until the end of January when the trial is supposed to start. I sure hope he has to pay for this himself, though, instead of finding a way to get his dupes to pay for it instead.

If I were to send Trump a jar of my pee, it would be just to be an asshole.
(Edited for secret service and door knocks, heh heh.)
