They need to be either national or midwest chains. I’m in bloomington, Indiana so many regional chains might not exist here.
I prefer these types of meals over a single meal of maybe a hamburger or steak. So far i have come up with (excluding mom & pop stores).

Does the Golden Corral have a presence in Bloomington? Do you have any Chinese buffets?
In South Florida we have LOTS of chinese buffets, and I love 'em way too much. I can directly attribute much of my weight gains over the years to my too-frequent visits to these places.

There is a place called ‘china buffet’ here in bloomington that has $4.98 lunch & $6.38 dinner all you can eat. Is the restaurant named ‘china buffet’ a nationwide chain or something? I always thought it was a local restaurant/mom & pop place, which is why i didn’t add it.
There probably is a Chinese buffet place in your area, if you’re lucky also a sushi buffet. Cici’s Pizza in the south has (duh!) pizza buffet. All you can eat for $3.99.
Old Country Buffet? (It goes under a different name in some places. Something like “Hometown Buffet”?)
Around here, we have Western Sizzlin’. It’s a lot like Ponderosa, but better, IMHO (although not necessarily as good as Golden Corral, which we don’t have here, but sometimes visit when we’re in Baltimore).
I love Indian restaurant buffets, at lunch. Got any of those?
I plan to go to Sheba’s Palace sometime soon, an Ethiopian restaurant near where I live that has a buffet. I don’t think it’s a chain, though.
