What animal made this sound?

Here’s the sound: Flickr

Vermont, 9:30 pm June 22, about 50 to 100 feet from the house. It sounded much louder in person than the recording. After an hour or so it went somewhere else and/or went quiet.

It could move quickly from one side of the house to another. It seemed to be at ground level.

I live in Maine and am pretty sure it is a red fox. Here is a video…
