What are some C segment sedan cars?

C segment are cars the size of VW Golf, Opel Astra, etc. , most of these seem to be hatchbacks, but are there any sedans there as well?

Honda Accord, BMW 3, Mercedes C, Audi A4 and so on are all D segment, so I’m essentially wondering if there are sedans that are smaller than these.

The Volkswagen Jetta, the BMW 1 series (offered as a sedan in U.S., not sure about Europe), Ford Focus (again, sedan in US at least), the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, etc.

The current Astra is hatchback or wagon only but the related U.S. car - the Chevy Cruze - was available as a sedan until they canned it. In the U.S. popular opinion is that truck > large car > compact sedan > hatchback. Accordingly, the U.S. gets a lot of sedan versions of cars that are hatchbacks elsewhere.

The Mazda 3 (known as the 323 and the Protege in earlier generations) has always been a comparable size / class to the Civic and Corolla, so it likely belongs on the list, as well (and they still offer a sedan).

Mazda 3 and Audi A3 are available as hatchback or sedan

How is a 3 series a D list car? The Accord is certainly larger than it. I would think the 3 series would be a C car and the 4 and 5 series D cars.

I think the Toyota Yaris may still be available as a sedan in the U.S.

Ford Fusion. Internally it’s CD, but since that’s not a classification and it’s smaller than the D Taurus, I’d call it a C.
