The title says it all. We are looking for cultural myths about where babies come from. Rather than answering the question “Where do babies come from” in our middle school paper, we are going the ambiguous route.
For those who are curious- we have an “Ask Mrs. Peabody” column. She is our three-legged hamster, and she won’t “know” about human reproduction. However, she is an avid reader and knows all kinds of myths.
Girl: … and then Mommy kissed Daddy, and the angel told the stork, and the stork flew down from heaven, and put the diamond in the cabbage patch, and the diamond turned into a baby!
