Usually it’s not percussion that makes me want to dance, but an exception is the song “Cowbell” by Tapes n’ Tapes.
I know - I can never link to a Prince song. I was just listening to “P. Control” the other day, and I didn’t notice a huge dance beat to it, but re-listening, yeah, I can hear what you’re talking about. You’ve got me wondering what other songs of his have a really danceable beat - he certainly isn’t a guy who’s afraid of percussion. “Ripoopgodazippa” is a lovely, percussion heavy song. “Sexy M.F.” isn’t bad, either.
Prince aside - we have a video of Prince in concert, with Sheila E. wailing away on the drums; at one point, Prince jumps in on the drums for her, and he’s damned near as good as she is.
When Doves Cry - Lady Gaga and Prince - I don’t hate this.
Ooh, I found Ripopgodazippa and Sexy M.F. - that was unexpected!

Would that be the Sign ‘O’ the Times concert film? Pretty damned decent concert flick, that. Did you know that, for whatever reason, he wasn’t satisfied with the visuals of the actual concert, so the film consists of the audio from that performance, married to Prince and his band lip-syncing to the audio track at the Paisley Park studios in (I believe) Chanhassen, MN.
And as for Prince songs with a damned fine dance beat, I can’t believe I left off 'DMSR". Or The Family’s “The Screams of Passion”, for that matter.
