“It’s” is grammar. Eisenhower is history.
There is a picture around which seems to show Marilyn and JFK, taken through a partially open door. He has his arms around her. I tried to link to the picture but could not for some reason. If you search on Marilyn Monroe and JFK you will see it. Anyone know more about it?
Joe DiMaggio died convinced JFK had Monroe killed

*HE WAS only married to Marilyn Monroe for nine turbulent months, but Joe DiMaggio, the reclusive US baseball legend, vowed he would never forgive the Kennedys for her death.
A new book, written by his long-time lawyer and close companion Morris Engelberg, reveals he really did believe the Kennedy clan killed Monroe.“They murdered the one person I loved,” DiMaggio confided to Mr Engelberg.
DiMaggio shed no tears when the Kennedys were assassinated. According to the book, which contains a foreword by Henry Kissinger, DiMaggio believed “they got what they deserved”.
DiMaggio, who was 84 when he died after a long battle with cancer, refused to shake Robert Kennedy’s hand when they met at New York’s Yankee Stadium. Just a few years before he died he agreed to go to the Kennedy Centre only if no member of the extended political family was there.
When Engelberg asked him why, DiMaggio responded: “What they did to me will never be forgotten.”…*…

Ah, I thought both were spelling. My mistake.
Please allow me to cover my tracks with dignity.
Perhaps “cover up” was too strong a phrase, but the Secret Service does more than just look the other way when it comes to protecting the president’s reputation. The best known example is probably when the government hid the truth about Franklin Roosevelt’s health. Photographers were absolutely not allowed to photograph FDR in his wheelchair, and there are reports of the Secret Service confiscating the film from people who took any such pictures.
As for Kennedy, consider it from this angle: JFK was a shameless philanderer who must have had dozens of sex partners, if not hundreds. And he doesn’t seem to have been particularly discreet about any of it. And he was the freakin’ president of the United States, about as high-profile a person as it’s possible to be. So how is it that no pictures of him with some floozie have ever turned up? Because the Secret Service made sure that such pictures didn’t get taken.
Snopes says it’s a fake.
Isn’t there an Internet message-board law–like Rule 34–that states that every correction to a spelling error will contain an error of it’s own?
Thanks very much for the snopes link. The person who does these “imitations” sounds very interesting. It would probably make for a Great Debate but I never venture over there.
Both Kennedy brothers certainly knew MM; she famously sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to JFK at a big Madison Square Garden fundraiser in May 1962, and was photographed with JFK and RFK at a party later that night.
The only authoritative/reliable bio of JFK I’ve read which confirmed a sexual relationship between the President and the starlet was Richard Reeves’s 1994 President Kennedy, and he only mentions it in passing.
The Secret Service looked the other way at the President’s dalliances, but I’ve never read that they acted as procurers. He had plenty of friends and aides to do that for him.
