I’d like to visit England, and the place I’dlike to stay is the Cotswolds…apart from rain, what is the climate like oin the fall? Is this a good time to visit? And, is this region blessed witha lot of goodpub? I’d like to sample allof the local brews…whats agood town there for pubs?
PS: How is Pub food? Are these places where it is possible to get a good meal?:rolleyes:
Can’t answer any s[pecific questions on the Cotswolds, but in that area of England at that time of year it’s quite cold (not below freezing though) but unlikely to snow.
England has very many pubs, esp. in araes that attract tourists like the Cotswolds and I imagine that they would also be the sort of poubs that sell food (in my experince it’s only the urban/suburban locals that don’t sell food).
quite cold
Depends what you’re used to. By British standards, it’s pretty mild, and it tends to get long sunny autumns: see here for autumn temperatures for the South-West. As to the Cotsworlds, it’s full of folksy villages and pubs, and rural pub food is generally excellent. Malmesbury, Tetbury and Stroud are all pretty nice.
Burford. Stow-on-the-Wold. Bourton-on-Water.
And go and count the Rollrights;
No-one ever gets the same number twice.
