That’s me. Never been called. I’m guessing my day is coming. I have moved around over the last 25 years but, have always been registered to vote where I have lived.
Most people I know have been called multiple times, even before they turned 25.

I finally got my first call ever this year. I’m 38. And when I called the day before to check on it, it was canceled, so I’ve still never been.
I got called four years ago. Lesseee… I would have been a registered voter for… about 31 years at that point.
I’ve been registered for about 2 years and have never been called either. I recall my mother being called for the first time in her late 50’s.
Some states now use driver license records too ,not just registered voters. NC uses both.
Going on 41 and never called.
I now realize I’ve just jinxed myself…
I’ve been called 4 times total , 3 times in the last 10 years. My wife is 48 and never been called.
I’ve never been called, and I’ve been a registered voter for 32 years, and I vote in every election.
I got called once, after about 20 years, but the notice came while I was living overseas. So I didn’t have to go. Then I got called again, after about 28 years, went to the courthouse, and then, after waiting around for an hour or two, got dismissed since they already had all of the jurors that they needed. I was conflicted about the process - I would have actually liked to have this experience, but it would have probably severely messed with my work schedule.
A lot of trials only take a day or 2 so they don’t mess your work up much. Even murder trials can be done in a week in most cases.
All 4 times I was called I never heard a case.
I have been called once for federal but I was living 1500 miles away at the time(potentially could been been the McVeigh trial too) as was excused. My mom has never been called. My dad has never been called. My sister has been called 5 times in 3 states. My aunt has been called 10 times in 2 states and 2 federal.
Some people just pissed off the Universe.
I got my call late last year after turning 37. So I made it 19 years. I didn’t even have to report after receiving the summons.
On the other hand, my wife got called after only three years as a US Citizen.
You don’t get called here in Montgomery County very often because there is less to do and people actually show up for jury duty.
In Philadelphia proper, you get called far more often because people don’t show up and and there are lots more trials to go around.
I didn’t get called once in the eight years that I lived in San Diego County. I did get called by Los Angeles County at my mom’s old address but I had already moved away for college so I got off.
I moved to Santa Barbara County almost twenty years ago and I get called every year like clockwork. Over half of the time, I call the recorded message for a week and end up not having to show up. Twice they seated the jury before they got to me. A few times they sent us all home after sitting around for a while because the case settled. One time I was actually on a jury.
One time I was called for Federal jury duty. Now that is a pain in the ass because I would have to go 100 miles to L.A. I know people who have done it and it thoroughly sucks. Luckily, I had shown up for County service within a year of getting that notice and I was exempted.
Friend was on a federal grand jury in DC. He heard cases of well known people but could not tell me who they were.
There are two kinds of Fed jury duties. One isn’t so bad. You show up and do a trial or two. Usually it’s for some asshole who stole something from the gift shop in a National Park or something.
The other is hellacious. A colleague of mine just finished that kind. He was on an Investigative Grand Jury. He had to go down there every Wednesday for an entire year. After the year they still had to show up a few more times over the next few months to wrap up loose ends. He obviously couldn’t tell me too much about it but it involved hard core Mexican gangs and extortion rackets among other things.
I’d actually like to do it once, therefore I’ve never been asked in twenty-odd years.
I’ve been eligible for 41 years. I’ve been called up once, last year.
I’ve been registered since I turned 18. Never been called, (I’m 42 now), but last year I did get a notice in the mail that I could be called, but I moved at the end of July out of that county and hadn’t been called by then. No indication that I was called after then either.
Here in MO, you don’t have to be a registered voter. Driver’s license, census records, etc. If you have a pulse and are over 18, you are in the pool of potential jurors. I was called two times in two months about three years ago. Mrs. Hollister was selected about 8 years ago for a civil trial. Last year she was called again but not selected.
Since I turned 18, thirteen years ago, I have been called for jury duty seventeen times (13 state, although not always the same state, and 4 federal). My father has been called about 6 times in his life, but neither my mother nor either of my sisters has ever been called at all.
My guess would be that getting to age 25 without being called is not uncommon, although perhaps not as common as it has turned out to be in my family (60%, since we’re all over 25 now).
