What are these glasses?

Several years ago, my sister and I decided to pop into this tiny china shop (which has since mutated into a real estate business, as I recall). They had a lot of china out on display, including related items like glasses, serving plates, and so forth.

One of the things that I remember seeing were these delicate things shaped pretty much like shot glasses, except for being made of much thinner glass and having almost no slant to the sides. They also had these banded designs around the middle, much like stained glass – blue, red, gold, yellow. I think they were printed on, and not intrinsic to the glass itself.

The thing is, I have this memory of them being called “Turkish tea glasses”, but my search-fu only turns up tulip-shaped glasses that might have a gold band around the top, or tea mug shaped objects made of glass.

If anyone could tell me what these glasses are, and possibly where to find a source of them, with bonus points for achievability before February, you’ll get the reward of having successfully fought my ignorance and enabled me to give my sister a fantastic present.

Try “Moroccan” tea glasses. Apparently there’s a wide variety, and some of them look like what you’re describing.

In the photos they look bigger than they are; one link notes that each glass holds about 3 oz.
